When Kent Records, UK hit the streets in 1982 with the release of ‘For Dancers Only’, they may never of anticipated still being in the business over 30 years on. Ted Carol (Ace Records) having secured the rights to access the back catalogue of The Kent Modern record labels in the States asked Ady Croasell to put together a soul selection, Ian Clark got the design job and it all went nuts from there.
10pm - 6am @ The 229 The Venue - Now in our 14th year of this super successful London club night that started back in 2001 bringing together all the different elements of the London 60s scene for a big night of pure vintage underground partying.
Five months ago a young Northern Soul fan was filmed by her mother dancing along to an excellent but very obscure 60s soul recording on the steps of the Yury Dolguruky Monument in Moscow. 50,000 You Tube hits and lots of enthusiastic, kind words encouraged the girls to repeat the stunt, this time in their home town of Bristol, to the prescient Pied Piper production of ‘Give Me Lots Of Lovin’’ recorded in Detroit by Freddy Butler. The hits doubled.

Thursday November 8th, 8pm - 2am @ The 100 Club - Darrow Fletcher is playing live with backing band for the celebration of 30 years of Kent Records. DJs Ady Croasdell, Tony Rounce and more.
Due to circumstances out of our control, Darrow Fletcher's appearance at the 100 Club has to be postponed by a week. He will be performing on the 8th instead of the 1st November now.
